IMG_0927.JPGA fairly casual Sunday morning, with a couple of (old, I suspect) duck eggs from the San Pablo Supermarket (yellows were kinda soft and didn’t seem as ‘fresh’) but…they were only about 75¢ apiece.

I took an avocado, mashed it with a little salt and pepper, and spread it on a couple of pieces of toast (Roman Meal whole wheat sandwich bread–the kind of bread my wife prefers to artisanal which tend to rip her gums apart– so she claims!), and then mounted a poached duck egg on hers, while I fried mine as the yolk had cracked during the …er…cracking.

Simple and delicious, though my wife complained that the egg yolk was so big she almost gagged.

“Take it up with the duck, dear.” I responded.
