IMG_0822-0.JPGJust bought a fantastic book by Nigel Slater called Eat. Published in 2013 in England, its a whole series of simple, ‘fast food’ that can generally be made in about 30 minutes.

We won’t talk about the duck burgers, though.

Tonight started with a couple of cloves of garlic fried in olive oil, followed by a handful of dill and a big ol’ pile of shrimp. Then lemon zest, juice from that same lemon, and a bit of salt and pepper. Finally, a tablespoon of dry vermouth.

With the linguine, it serves about two but the dish required a hit of some more fleur de sel to punch it out. Simple, very tasty, and quick. Wifey liked it but didn’t care for what she considered too much olive oil. Personally, it didn’t bother me too much, but my wife, bless her two-valued heart, likes things perfect and true to her nature, she notices everything.

It still proved to be pretty successful.
